The above person was born in Egypt but was in Sheffield in 1921 as a boarder.

It states on the 1921 census that his mother was dead.

He married in 1925 and it names his father as William Charles Edward Sheldon.

I am unable to find them on the 1911 census which leads me to believe he came to England after that.

I have found no trace on FMP, but could be looking at the wrong section.

Has anyone got access to inward travel to see if they can find please when they came and if so does it list his mother?

I am also unable to trace William C E Sheldon's death which could mean that William burgess came to UK alone.

Any help as always really appreciated.

He is also on the 1939 register wilth William B Sheldon and family,

His burial is on this site. But he was buried as just William Sheldon. FREE bMD confirms he was William C E Sheldon

This family was covered pretty exhaustively in November 2022. Has the 1919 Jean Sheldon death identified by Dave T been followed up?

It looks as though the family was in WALSALL in 1917.

I think I have found the burial of Jean (Jeannie) Sheldon in Sheffield in 1919 aged 38.

Looks like she was buried in a communal grave because all the others in the grave are buried roughly the same time.

It says she died at the Union hospital and it states her body was removed from Sheffield Parish to Burngreave but why would they move her from Sheffield Parish for a burial when surely there were places closer to the Union Hospital she could have been buried in.

I can understand her being moved if there was a family grave but the grave she was in doesn't seem to be one.

Any advice please?
