What school would Hannah Timperley's children have attended?
Hannah's school-age children were:
1. Sarah Ann CASSON - born in Ecclesfield in early 1884
2. William Rowland CASSON - born in Sheffield 09/04/1889
3. Charles Hector CASSON (known as Chas) - born in Pitsmoor in August 1890
(The father of these 3 children was Rowland CASSON - passed away in June 1890, result
of work-place accident. Hannah then married George Wm Timperley on 15/10/1891.)
In 1891, they lived in Earsham Street. By Feb 1897, they lived at 42 Lyons St.
4. Evelyn Eyre TIMPERLEY - born in Sheffield 16/07/1892 - this is my grand-mother
5. Harry Ward TIMPERLEY - born in Sheffield 28/05/1900
(GWT not living with the family by time of 1901 census, & Hannah officially head of
household, with Henry WARD & his brother William WARD at the same address as boarders.)
By 1904, they were all living at 167 Ellesmere Road.
Sometimes Hannah called herself 'Annie'.
I'd love to know where Grandma & her siblings went to school!

Was just looking at your request and went back to our baptisms and found the following.
CASSON, Charles Hector (of 190 Earsham St, born ~).
Baptised September 7, 1890, by Henry John Shaw at All Saints, BrIghtside.
Parents name(s) are Hannah & Rowland (Labourer).
Ecclesfield. Baptism.
4 Jan 1883 CASSON Thomas Rowland Hannah Labourer Ecclesfield P. Twin
12 Aug 1885 CASSON Gertrude Roland Hannah Labourer Ecclesfield
4 Jan 1883 CASSON Charles Rowland Hannah Labourer Ecclesfield P Twin
29 Sep 1886 CASSON Charles William Roland Ann Labourer Ecclesfield Common
Not the school you asked for but maybe more Cassons for you to add.
I also have two Casson's in my tree but no info on them.

Sorry, John, I have tried that, but don't get very far. When I click on All Saints School Pitsmoor, a message comes up 'Server Error 404 Page Not Found'.
I searched by name in the School Admissions Register, but when I click on Search, it doesn't go anywhere - seems like it's not connected.
Glad to know that WRC attended the school in Pitsmoor - at time of the 1891 Census, his father had passed away & he was living with a paternal aunt in Heathcote St, but that seems to be in Grimesthorpe rather than Pitsmoor. He did return to live with Hannah at a later date.
If I could click on Brightside Infants School, or Brightside Girls School, I might find the name of my grandmother (Evelyn Eyre Timperley) but clicking on it doesn't take me anywhere.

Many thanks for this info - it has given me more info, even if it wasn't initially what I was looking for! Firstly, CH Casson's baptism info I already had.
But it looks like Hannah & Rowland had twin boys - Thomas & Charles, twins baptised 4 Jan 1883, also Gertrude in 1885 - these 3 children I did not know about. I shall look for their burial records.
Hannah & Rowland married in Feb 1881, then I had their first-born as Sarah Ann in early 1884. Then a gap to April 1889, when William Rowland was born. But it seems they'd had twin boys prior to Sarah's birth, & another girl between Sarah & William Rowland.
I think the Casson baptised Sept 1886 is not this family, though.

You need to use the GRO Index, free to use. It gives birth registrations linked to mother maiden name.
The Charles William Casson baptised in 1886 is definitely yours. He had mother maiden name Knight, same as all the others. He died in 1887.
