On the 1921 Census Peggy Williams born 1920 Marylebone and living in Marylebone at the time along with a Louisa Bettell aged 40 and Alan William Bettell aged 3. Peggy is shown as a “Nurse Child” what does a Nurse Child mean? Regards

According to Google 'A nurse-child is a child who is cared for by someone other than their biological parents.'

Hi Denise. That was a good point to google it…..I think Peggy was an illegitimate child of the daughter of my Grandaunt ( Martha Ann “Hague” Williams) and as she is back with the Williams family for the 1939 sounds correct. Many thanks
