Hannah Timperl(e)y died 18/09/1936, lived at 167 Ellesmere Road
She is my great grandmother. I'm sure she would be buried in Burngreave Cemetery - other relatives are buried there. But no record for Hannah's burial anywhere in Sheffield. Can anyone help me to find her burial site?

Her name is Hannah - not Sheila. Hannah is the name on her death certificate. In the 1911 census, she was the head of the household - she ran a boarding house. At that time she was separated from her 2nd husband - George William Timperley. Prior to marrying GWT in 1891, she was a widow - she had been Hannah Casson married to Rowland Casson. Hannah was not born in Sheffield - she had come from Liverpool, but was probably Annie & not Hannah at that stage, though her birth name is not definite, nor year of birth. Death certificate says she was 74 at time of her death.

OK, I accept that's a possibility, though it seems odd, given all the other associations with Burngreave cemetery & that she lived so close as well. What leads you to this conclusion?

Thanks heaps! That's a better connection for her, though she owned the plot in Burngreave where her baby daughter, adult son, & lover are buried - & there was still space for her, as I understood it.
I will be visiting from Australia during the year, & I'll know where to look now.
