Adelaide Sharman died in 1958 aged 82 years, she was the wife of Matthew who died in 1956.
Her maiden name was Taylor so I looked on the baptism section on this site and there are two both baptised 29th Apr 1875 at different churches and both with a father called George and both of these George's did the same job so my question is is the Adelaide i am interested in have the mother called Sarah Ann or Ellen.
Hi John, There is only one Adelaide Taylor on ther GRO birth 1875 mother Whittington. There is a marriage of Ellen Whittington to George Taylor 1865 Ecclesall Bierlow, Sheffield. The 1881 census shows them living on Devonshire Green his occupation silver buffer. Of the two Christenings only one shows the date of birth the other may have been older?
