Bradshaw family Sheffield

Hi everyone,

I am trying to trace my Bradshaw line back as far as possible and have come across my x5 g grandfather another James Bradshaw. He married a Sarah Nicholson and was probably born c 1780. He had a son, Samuel Bradshaw b 1805 d 1847.

I would like to find the origins of the Bradshaw family in Sheffield/Yorkshire.
If anyone could point me in the right direction or have any information about James Bradshaw would be much appreciated.

Best wishes
James Bradshaw

Re: Bradshaw family Sheffield

Hi James,

Do you have the CD's from S&DFHS for events that took place there?

If you have a number of people to search for it would be worth your while to obtain them.
If you order through Genfair its very easy.

All marriages were supposed to take place at the Parish Church up to 1848.
Have you checked out our marriages and baptisms over to the left.

Dont be afraid to ask again if I am not guessing you do want to do the research yourself.

Regards.

James, you may find something of interest on Bradfield Archives on line (free). There are over 200 records to Bradshaw and 5 of them are for a James in the first half of the 19 th century.. Several others are for J Bradshaw.
