After the Marine Corps, went back to college and received a degree in physics and math. Married for 37 yrs, two children now grown. My son serves with the 4th LAR as corpsman. Have worked with Schlumberger for nearly 25 yrs and am close to retiring.

Served Almost 27 years as an Albany Georgia cop.
First as patrolman,then Detective and finished as NCOIC of the Mounted Patrol. Work now as a Court Security Officer at the federal Courthouse.
Married 36 years, one daughter, 4 cats, 2 dogs 8 horses and other critters.Raise and train Quarter Horses. Still miss the mountains of Montana where I grew up.

I married a Marine. Am retired SSgt and she a retired GySgt. We have 3 Children and 7 grandchildren. We live in Yuma AZ and both work civil service on the Air Station. Her full time, me part time. Live is Great.

Went back to school, but Retail was not for me. Tried to reinlist but after 5 years had to go to boot again--not me. Went into Army instead and retired on medical in 1984. Am now 100%. Married to same wonderful woman for 33 years and have a daughter and son who are still in college.

One night after being in country two weeks, I was standing Duty NCO and had just logged in company area all secure, when I heard the first of four 122 rockets hit near MAG 16 and last orphanage.

Any that remembers me. I was in Hq. Platoon. I shared a hooch with two other Marines.

I have been married twice. Second wife and I have been married going on 23 years. She is a good woman, kinda like a Drill Instructor, she keeps me squared-away. I have been a Water Plant Operator for 32 years and even worked at the Ft. Benning,Ga. waterworks for two and a half years. Served in the Air Force Reserve from 1982-86 as an Environmental Support Technician in the 402 CES. Semper Fi, Marines and God Bless you all and America.

i was with 7th comm at old camp horno. may of 65, 7th comm was split up, with half going to 29 palms, the other half and me shipping out for nam. we arrived at 3rd maf, and formed up the 5th com. moved out to china beach, and started to build the compound, from the sand up. worked a million working parties 24/7. the 5th com logo you know show was designed by my good pal dewayne ritsema, from grand rapids mich, in may 1965. we had some good times and some bad times just like you guys who followed us. little sleep and lots and lots of rats! july of 66 rotated back to the world and finished up my hitch at lejune 2nd tank bn.

married 35 years to a great girl, no kids lots of cats and dogs. about to retire from boeing aerospace.. been a good run no complaints, yet!! semper-fi, you jarheads......

After getting out of the Marine Corps, I joined the Reserves and retired, took advantage of the GI Bill, degree in History, working on a Masters in Military History. I worked for 15 years at South Bay Union HS District as plumber, sold my home in Torrance, CA., moved to the Desert the Palm Springs area. Hired at College of the Desert in Maintenance, worked until 2001 and retired.I have no desire to work and I do not miss it, I now have time to built furniture, which I do as a hobby. I have been married for 38 years, have 4 daughters and 5 grandchildren.
