Hello Lee Woofenden,

I have read most of Death & Rebirth and your translation is absolutely wonderful. I do not believe anyone could have done a better job. It is clear and easy to read almost to the point of being childlike, yet, it remains profound and riveting in both content and expression.

My mother is 88 and it will be a marvelous and comforting gift for her.

Thank you for this grand work and for making it available on line so we can try it before we buy it.

Good Day Rev. Woofenden,

I am relieved to finally find someone who is on "the right track" with regards to offering a believable and purposeful interpretation of The Parable of the Weeds. However, I do have some corrective comments to your interpretation which I would, over the course of time, like to offer.

For instance, according to the parable text as it appears in my NIV Bible, Jesus did not say that "The kingdom of heaven is like SOMEONE who spread good seed in his field." He said, "The kingdom of heaven is like A MAN who spread......" The term "someone" is vaguely broad and unspecifically indicative; thus, it is virtually useless as a spiritually symbolic and enlightening narrative element. Accordingly, it's supposed useage is highly uncharacteristic of Christ's true narrative style. To the contrary, the term "a man" is a clearly defined and singularly expressive indication of a specific initiating INSTANCE, i.e. Authority. Accordingly, this terminology is much more characteristic of Christ's true narrative style. Furthermore, it gives the discerning reader or listener an opportunity to figure out for themselves just WHO - or WHAT - Jesus is implying in his opening sentence. And that's just what I believe Jesus wanted people to do - figure it out for themselves.

Best Regards

I wanted to thank you for posting your book so that I could read it. I wanted to buy a copy, but didn't have the money to spend right now. After reading just one chapter, I almost started crying. It was so good to hear the truth. I feel so alone out here with no one to talk to about spiritual truth. Most Christians deny the truth and are even mean if you try to talk to them. Thank you, thank you for refreshing "my cup."
