Steve came to Male Survivor for a few months this Fall, then left recently after erasing his posts there. He had mentioned this organization and I decided to check it out. It is good to see that there is another organized support group serving this afflicted population. I started my own recovery at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, OH in 1986 and finished my last in-person support group in May of 2000 in Denver, CO. Along the way I was a patient of Mic Hunter's and also went inpatient to Hazelden in Minnesota for my out-of-control addictions. My interest at MS has mainly been mentoring though I am still working on a few late-stage issues myself too. I am proof that you guys can get there if you stay with it and put in an honest effort.

Two books not on your reading list: ABUSED BOYS, by Mic Hunter, and SELF ESTEEM, by Matthew McKay, PH.D. were quite helpful in my own recovery back in the 1990s.
