Re: The Bonsor papermaking family of Wadsley Bridge and marriage of Joseph to Mary Riley 1736 Sheff

This is a really interesting thread for me as my maiden name was Riley. I have traced my family back to the 1841 census in England when they were recorded as Ryley and they had settled in Ormskirk Lancaster after coming from Ireland.My ggg grandfather then moved to Sheffield. I will have to see if there is a link.

Apparently Mary's father was James Ryley and her mother was Elizabeth Grimshaw. They married
Married (14 FEB 1714/15), St. James', Church Kirk, Church, Lancs., to Elizabeth Grimshaw with
F Mary Riley ca 1712-1770
