Following on from the information Moira found- the 1861 census stated Emily and Mary Ann Shaw are described as daughter in laws- I think this means step daughter. So Elizabeth must have been married previously.

Yes I do know where Oswego, New York state is. It is on the south shore of Lake Ontario across the Lake from Kingston Ont. Huge Lake so not sure how far in Miles. We have been through it on one of our sight seeing tours of the area.
Mohawk country and Oswego means (outpouring).
I would think maybe the Chamber of Commerce might be a good start and they can probably link you in with their Historical Society.
I will have a look around on Ancestry just in case I can see anything and get back to you if I find anything. Moira looks to be on the look out for you and she is very good.
Hello Sue thank you ,We was going to see if Elizabeth Shaw was connected to
Quarry Bank as the Tombstone is in the Parish Church Quarry Bank.
