Re: Mystery Cop

AMEN,Preacher.

Re: Mystery Cop

Preacher:

I hope that you have to eat "Crow" very soon. I will even volunteer to cook it and have it ready for you Sunday morning so you demonstrate in front of your congregation and speak on "true patience". Let me guess what denomination you are. Southern Baptist? If you are truly a "Man of God". Pray for the truth to be unveiled and believe that it will come forth in God's time. Not our time. NOW, If that is over your head and you don't understand. Refer to the bible and research patience.

Re: Mystery Cop

Wow-while you are trying to preach your self, you might want to look up adultry as well,And covet.

Re: Mystery Cop

Braveheart:

You must have me confused with someone else. I understand what those mean.

I'm not taking the side of the officers involved. I'm only trying to express a concern that everyone is demanding immediate judgment when there is due process that I am sure is being followed. However, you and the PREACHER are acting as JUDGE, JURY, and EXCUTIONER in a matter that clearly has two sides to consider with questionable character on all parties involved. That alone demands additional time to investigate.

A wise man a long time ago told me. “Realize that every time you point the finger at someone else, Three are pointing back at you”. Also,” Don’t try to clean someone else’s closet without cleaning yours first”.

Allow the local authorities time to properly investigate this and rest assure the truth will come out and those guilty of any wrong doings will be dealt with accordingly.

Re: Mystery Cop

Why do people say that about Southern Babtists?

Re: Mystery Cop

I grew up in a Southern Baptist Church in Marlinton and can speak first hand to the fact that they preach on "Fire and Brimstone" and are very quick to judge based on “Their” understanding of the word of God.

Again, understand that I am not taking either side of this case. I’m clearly pointing out to every resident of Pocahontas County to exemplify patience and trust that the individuals elected will get to the bottom of this and a full report will be rendered.

Re: Mystery Cop

To Wow,I Know Brad.Do you?I'm sorry if I mislead you in anyway,I'm not a preacher,Judge or Jury.I wouldnt make a good one because, I to would be partial and give the law worse treatment than we would get because they are sappose to be upholding the law.I also have heard (in a sermon)everytime you point a finger at someone you have 3 pointing back at you.Thank-you for refreshing that. You by any chance wasn't judging the southern Baptist were you?

Re: Mystery Cop

No I don’t know Brad but I do know David Jonese very well and trust me. He is a “No Nonsense”,”No Bullsh#%”, kind of man. If Brad or any other individual under his command is not performing up to his expectations set forth, then rest assure their termination iminate. If everyone in Pocahontas County truly understood the employees he inherited then you would realize that he has to follow the laws, regulations, and guidelines set forth by the State of West Virginia to a “T”. Factor into the equation that he is in his second month of his first term, and then you have to consider the learning curve. I can only imagine the pressure and stress he is under.

I recommend to every resident of Pocahontas County. Give David Jonese time to sort this out and if you are a believer in “God Almighty”. Pray for Wisdom for him and every other elected official daily. Volunteer to help and assist in your community and realize that “Pocahontas County” is your home and a place you want to see a positive difference for every man, woman, and child living there.

Re: Mystery Cop

I think crows taste good if they are cooked right.
The video said that Lester never saw the girls good till they got out of the police car and he saw Leslie perfectly. You know it is hard keeping the faith and not telling the church to grab the guns and get a rope like should be done. "It falls to the average citizen to take up the cause of liberty when the government is corrupt and failing" Patrick Henry
Were are the Patrick Henrys' now. The wolves have the flock and I will be surprised if you crow cookers get to even light your fire. Better not shoot that crow yet cause it will be dust before I get to taste it. Brad is thumbing his nose and he knows he is untouchable. I understand investigations take time and why didn't Donna or Dave return Darlas' calls?
I got a question to you tax payers... look at your phone bill. Is there a tax for '911' service? What do we pay state taxes for? I know the government gives the county and state a huge sum of money to pay for 911 service since the Patriot Act. Count the number of phones in the county and figure out the tax times that each month and we can afford twelve high paid dispatchers not counting the equipment. I was also wondering about the money from the Lodging tax money too. For another Thread.

Re: Mystery Cop

i understand why theres so much worrying about who the "cop" was that touched darla but everyone running there mouths about whos sleeping w/ who is BS.if the cops are cheating on their wifes then let them deal w/ it its their problem not everyone in the county. it dosent matter what the cops do its always made public even if they dont do it while on duty. theres things they do that is made into such a big deal but let someone else do it and nothing is ever said about it.look it even cost one deputy his life!. i understand brad has done somethings or even alot of things that are wrong so he needs fired but at brads definse not every girl that he has messed around w/ was forced or blackmailed i'm sure they did it very willing and now just want the att. so are saying other wise. let the dave deal w/ it and leave everything else alone. oh i cant help it i have to comment on one more thing i just cant see weasel doing anything w/ crystal but thats just my opp. and i guess everyone has one

Re: Mystery Cop

Do you really think that? That is a prime example of a derelict statement. You know I often ponder what would these guys say were they the father of the victim. Treat a woman as you would your mother or sister.

Re: Mystery Cop

Let me assure you if cops are taking advantage of the citizens of Pocahontas' county's teenage daughters, then let me tell you it most certainly IS my business. If I can't trust a cop to HELP my child without molesting her or convincing her that she should have sex with him to get out of something, then again, IT IS MY BUSINESS. Granted, my child is not old enough to have to deal with them, but when she is, I do hope that they will be trustworthy for her to go to in need of help. So don't DARE tell us parents that we don't have a right to know if the cops are having sex with KIDS on the job or anyone else. We do and if it ever happened with mine, they would pay for it LEGALLY. But you can bet your butt I'd have their job.

Re: Mystery Cop

To Preacher;

You have so much WRONG information and are talking in “tongues”. You should call Lester and Daral and get your facts straight. The PA spoke with both Lester and Daral BEFORE it ever can out on Etater. BUT for some reason they ran to etater not giving anyone time to investigate. Finally, just because someone put a video on the tater doesn’t mean it is the “gospel”. And don’t forget that he is a felon…so once again why are they trying to take the attention off them? I am not saying the cops did no wrong, just why are you so quick to Judge?

Re: Mystery Cop

They said they were not the wrong. The fact is Darla was fondled and the fact is Totten was trying to cover up the fact there was something going on wrong.

What was does the difference of him being a felony or not? Is his sight worse than yours?

Re: Mystery Cop

The ansure is in the poc. times. Free or vol. cops will take care of the pulic and the paid cops will take carre of the back road hiddie spots.

Re: Mystery Cop

I read the article about the new police force in the Pokey Times, but there is no mention of the cost of putting this service together. Seems like that should have been addressed in the article.

Also, how come the Pokey Times doesn't say which magistrate is sentencing anymore. They used to tell you who it was that was giving a sentence. I would like to know this information so that I can make an educated choice at the polls.

Re: Mystery Cop

If you think the times will do one thing that is actually reporting NEWS rather than deaths and lining the bottom of a cat litter box you are mistaken. I mean does the times ever interview a person that has an opinion? The Times is so afraid of stepping on the toes of someone or a lawsuit they report just what is public record. Mr. Smith should just do a deaths flier and we get all the Times says.

Re: Mystery Cop

Sounds to me like the county is getting set up for more law suits concerning these civilian cops. One of these volunteers will step over the line, then look out.

Re: Mystery Cop

Maybe we shpuld make anyone who wears a badge wear a chasity belt while on duty

Re: Mystery Cop

I agree; I smell a lawsuit(s) coming! The word is out in the community that the mystery cop was actually a state policeman. If this is true, we can't even trust the state police to conduct a proper search.

Re: Mystery Cop

such a shame, seeing how they uphold such values and morales. true family men

Re: Mystery Cop

But it is now really a new thing! It seems that just so many state cops who comes to Pocahontas County turns out to be a womanizer.

Re: Mystery Cop

when in rome......

Re: Mystery Cop

If you and your wife was in a fight, and the law is call.Watch out for the officer. The man was taken to jail.I know for a fact the deptuy took is wife out that night, and brought her back that morning around 4 a.m.

Re: Mystery Cop

I hate to hear that happened to you. I would have a hard time forgiving my wife but we all have moments where we have weakness and make mistakes and you either love someone with their mistakes and misdeeds or you don't. You can forgive but to forget is the hard part. I hope you and your wife are fine now.
This all shows that the community in large has lost the trust we need to have in our public servants.
Pray everyone pray please....

Re: Mystery Cop

Well the idea sounds good in concept but the little sting may stop them from doing their duty. I agree they won't be womanising so whooooo weeeeee.... make it part of the training.....

Re: Mystery Cop

Maybe Jonese should invest in this;

http://www.rmtracking.com/blog/news/gps-tracking-gets-police-detective-fired/

GPS TRACKING GETS POLICE DETECTIVE FIRED
By Cameron Cowan

According to the Tampa Police Department (Reported by the Tampa Tribune), a police detective of the Tampa Police Department was fired and three other detectives retired over corruption and dishonesty discovered through GPS Tracking.

“GPS tracking results in 4 officers’ departure:

A 22-month internal affairs investigation using GPS technology has resulted in the departure of four Tampa police officers accused of billing the department for hours they did not work. Three veteran officers retired; the fourth has been fired. In addition to GPS devices, Assistant Chief Bob Guidara said, investigators reviewed detectives’ time cards, gas mileage receipts and surveillance records from the Criminal Intelligence Bureau”

Three of the detectives had been with the department for 22 to 29 years, and the fourth detective had been with the department for 9 years. A spokesperson for the department said, of the 40 detectives investigated, only four were found to be “consistently” not working proper hours.

Regardless of rank, every public official has an obligation to uphold integrity within a department. There’s no doubt that GPS will save time, money, keep track of valuable assets, find corruption, and take control of your organization.

Brad Borst, a former police officer and President of Rocky Mountain Tracking said, “it’s a difficult decision to let an officer go after he or she has dedicated their whole life to law enforcement. Many times an officer makes heroic efforts throughout their career, but one bad choice can end it all. This is just another example that we are all human and make mistakes, but if implemented soon enough, GPS tracking can provides the necessary checks and balances to prevent this from happening,” he said.

Research shows the more trusted employee who has been with a company longer is usually the one to bend the rules. This is because they feel comfortable in their position, and they don’t feel the pressure of proving their self worth to an organization.

Fort Lauderdale busting cops caught speeding faster than 80 mph
By Brittany Wallman | South Florida Sun-Sentinel
August 22, 2008
What if your car spit out a report to the police department every time you hit 81 miles an hour?

To the chagrin of its police officers, the city of Fort Lauderdale is using satellite car-locaters in patrol cars to watch for speeding. Any officer driving faster than 80 — whether on duty or off — is busted.

Since the monitoring began a year ago, 29 officers have been written up or disciplined for speeding, according to city records. Some officers were caught driving faster than 90 mph, even while off duty, and one was nailed for speeding 30 times.

Law enforcement agencies across South Florida and the country use vehicle-locaters in police cars to help dispatchers find the closest officer to send to calls, or to find officers who might be in danger if they can't be reached on radio. But Fort Lauderdale may be unique in using it to monitor speed.

Internal affairs workers sift through the reports to determine who had a legitimate emergency and who was just too heavy on the accelerator. Punishment starts with a counseling slip and escalates.

"Very good," said Fort Lauderdale resident Todd Green.

Green regularly sees officers and deputies speeding on the interstate, he said, or flicking on lights to run through intersections. He said monitoring should be stricter: 80 mph is quite a cushion if you're in a speed zone of 35 mph, he noted.

"If you're going to give people tickets, don't use that car to get away with things," he said.

Spokesmen at some other police agencies, including Sunrise and Coral Springs, said they use satellite technology for locating police cars but not to catch uniformed speeders. Others, including West Palm Beach police and the Broward Sheriff's Office, said they don't have the equipment; they address officer speeding on a complaint basis. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is deploying laptops with positioning equipment but has no plans to use it to catch deputies speeding.

Chuck Canterbury, national president of the Fraternal Order of Police union, said he was familiar with Fort Lauderdale's speed-watching.

"It's showing bad faith in their officers," said Canterbury, based in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Like local police representatives, Canterbury said the public is often wrong when they think an officer has no legitimate reason to speed.

"There are many times a law enforcement officer exceeds the speed limit without blue lights and sirens," Canterbury said, citing burglar alarms or prowler calls as examples. "The public doesn't always understand that it's not the police officer running to get something to eat."

An officer turning on lights and sirens to get through an intersection, like Green mentioned, might have been dispatched to an emergency that was called off soon after, said Fort Lauderdale police spokesman, Sgt. Frank Sousa.

And an officer speeding on the interstate without lights and sirens might be using the subtle enforcement method of catching up to a speeder so the driver will see the marked car and slow down, said Fort Lauderdale police Sgt. Jack Lokeinsky, the local union president.

"It's an absurd waste of resources to once again try to justify their paranoia," Lokeinsky said of city administrators, who he said think the police department is "corrupt." The policy came about under former Chief Bruce Roberts, but City Manager George Gretsas has authority over the police department. The officers and Gretsas have been at odds.

City spokesman Ted Lawson defended the oversight, saying the devices further the police mission to "one, enforce the laws, and two, protect the public."

Lauderhill police Capt. Rick Rocco said most officers share the public's disdain for officers who speed with no good reason. His agency is buying the devices but hasn't created a policy on how to use them.

"What makes you so special, because you're driving a marked police car?" Rocco said. "I think the majority of officers feel that way, that they want to maintain a professional image. Just because you have a badge and the authority doesn't give you a right to violate the law."

Fort Lauderdale used to limit its speeding oversight to random checks, Lawson said.

Then in June 2006, Officer Alexander Griss, 23, hit Althea McKay, 39, a pedestrian on Federal Highway. Her body flew 102 feet. She died.

The global positioning system, manufactured by Trimble and called "The Placer," reported that Griss reached 91 mph where the limit was 40. He was not on his way to a call.

Griss was fired a year ago and charged with vehicular homicide. And the new enforcement began.

Griss' attorney, Mike Dutko, said he'll challenge the reliability of the technology when the case goes to trial in October. His experts said Griss was traveling between 60 mph and the low 70s.

Lokeinsky also questions The Placer's speed accuracy and said the city refuses to test it. He said the city has better things to spend time and money on than double-checking driving speeds.

"It's such a silly thing in the grand scheme of what we do for a living," he said.

Trimble executive Bob Skinner in Chantilly, Va., said the units are highly accurate speed detectors, if used on the right settings. But he said he's never heard of a police department using it like Fort Lauderdale does.

Re: Mystery Cop

We have received information that the policeman who was with Totten was in fact a state policeman. He is being investigated at a state level.

Will he be suspended pending the investigation into the charges?

Sheriff Jonese seems to be in a quadray because the incident involved one of his own policeman and a state police man. This is the first big test of Jonese's sincerity.

Re: Mystery Cop

Who is going to cook me that crow? I was promised a meal and if things keep on the right path I will gladly eat me some crow. You do know that in Tenn. People eat crow over Turkey? They say it is best tasting bird out there. I ate some and it was good but I need to know my chef doesn't poison me. That said I may fix my own crow rather than let some figgit fix it. Yes I am a preacher to you Nah sayers and heel kickers. Thank you Sheriff Jonese but Like said before our county needs to invest in that same technology.

Sheriff Jonese you still haven't done anything about the speeders where you promised me you would?

Re: Mystery Cop

This incident was videotaped! So there is proof of what happened!

Re: Mystery Cop

I WISH everyone would stop EATING my RELATIVES

We Made Our Visit to the Sheriff--Here is the Name of the Mystery Cop

And David J. was very forthcoming. I am convinced that he will get to the bottom of this matter.

The State Police in Charleston are conducting an internal review of the matter. David has interviewed at least six persons in the matter. No lie detector tests have been given yet.

There is video tape but the tape has a strange analomy to it. It seems that when Lester approached the cruiser and the other vehicle that he (Lester) pulled a little to the left. Totten then proceeded to move the cruiser to the front of the Good car. But he did so at an "angle" which placed the actual pat down of the woman off camera. This is strange protocol but I believe Dave when he says this is what happened. The consequence of this strange and bizarre stop by Totten was the there is little or no video evidence of how Darla was frisked which lies at the basis of the groping charge.

There was another car there but apparently the sheriff has been unable to ascertain who was in that car. The claim that there were girls involved is currently in dispute.

In fact, another car came along shortly thereafter but turned around as soon as they saw the police activity.

The mystery cop was Trooper Agee. He would have been the one in the camoflage outfit. There was no explanation as to why he failed to id himself to Lester and Darla. There is no explanation as to why the name of the trooper has not previously been made public.

Dave has promised to keep us updated as to the continuing investigation.

We were relieved that the sheriff has pulled Totten off of night duty!! This should bring some satisfaction to the scared girls and their parents in our community.

We will make inquiry as to the outcome of the Internal Affairs Division of the WV State Police.

We did present or complaint that we feel that the local state police detachment is lacking in supervision. Perhaps things will shape up in the future.

All in all, we retain our confidence in David Jonese that he will get to the bottom of this.

We hope that any efforts to establish an "auxilliary force" will be put on hold until the outcome of this investigation.

Re: Mystery Cop

Norman did you mention my Ideas on how to control the lust in the hearts of these said officers? I believe it will work.

Re: Mystery Cop

The die-hards want a reliable source (unrelated) to view the video tape to observe the measures taken by Sgt. Totten in defeating the purpose of the cruiser camera.

Also, request a disciplinary measure for purposely
altering the camera function.

Will anyone second the motion?

Re: Mystery Cop

Yes,I also agree,"funny how it is in dispute",of who was there because the husband of one of the girls were very upset after it happened, and was talking.Has anyone asked them???

Re: Mystery Cop

They make a lens that points straight up in the air and films in a 360 degree view. With there being so many things that are going on A camera inside the vehicle and the 360 view for outside the auto. We need to treat them like children that you can't trust because they can not be trusted at all anymore.
I am glad I flattered you RaVeN...:}

Re: Mystery Cop

I second that emotion, CMM!

Re: Mystery Cop

you claim to be a preacher, so why don't you identify yourself. do you preach at a local congregation? or are you just another etater preacher? anyhow, i'd say your a kook.

Re: Mystery Cop

Amen to the Preacher!!!

It's great to see another man of the cloth who doesn't shun the truth.

Re: Mystery Cop

I'm sorry, but this has been going on for years! Brad Totten isn't the only dirty cop. People can complain all they want but if they don't take action to stop it, then it may never end. I'm currently majoring in Criminal Justice and I am hoping that once I graduate I can help recruit honest, hard working cops to Pocahontas County and help in getting rid of the a$$holes who run the county. I would not be surprised if the dirty cops confiscate drugs for their own personal use.

The evidence room

Strangely that subject came up today. There are a whole set of stories about the evidence room. They generally center around the tales of the evidence room being used as a sort of supply warehouse for local drugs. The stories tell of drugs being "dispense" for the use of narcing and forth the purchase of sexual favors.

I, myself, am pretty naive and some of this was news to me. Has anybody else heard these stories?

Re: Mystery Cop

Hello stinkwell, yes,I too have heard stories from the evidence room, right from the source!I will not put the details on here but you know who I am.E-mail me.I will lead you right to the source. All $2,000 worth of evidence disappeared so they were scott free!!!

To Wow-have you cooked preacher that crow yet????

Re: Mystery Cop

I heard a story of a women who was not fully searched and when deputies still did the trainsport. The deputy pulled into secluded spot and the woman had cigarettes , a lighter, and a bottle of pills stashed in her Vagina. When the deputy pulled her underies off the stuff fell out on the seat and he laughed and still had sex with her. He had drugs for her when in fact she had stashed her own she had gotten by sexual favors. The poor person who told me this tale is gone now or she would gladly tell this tale of her friend.
I bet several people have heard this tale.

This sinning is not just hurting the community as a whole it goes to very rotting heart of our county. This behavior has to been shown and known by the people that supervised the said deputies

Re: Mystery Cop

Preacher, I appreciate your comments very much! I believe that the corruption in our county is caused by moral terpitude!!!Very few people are concerned about morality!! They want to excuse bad behavior instead of calling it what it really is----SIN, SIN, SIN

Re: Mystery Cop

Stinkwell, what did you think about that tale? I am sure it is good chance of be ing a fact. The person that told me had no reason to lie about this. If you want the womans name I will give it to one of your Moderators. I am sure the woman would talk being she was in jail the last time I heard of her. I bet she could tell the new sheriff an entire novel worth of stuff done by the guys in mention. I am glad the new sheriff only took a few weeks to take Darlas' complaint as being serious. I understand that he thought she wanted money and now that he sees there is a pattern with this guy he takes her as just a person assaulted.
Thank you out there for the feed back crow and crow-free. Sodom was full of sin. How many good men would take to keep god from wiping this place from the Earth?
The shame of the matter was that these people are the very people we put our fath in to guard our children and trust to be morally correct not part of the time but constantly! I know it is a serious job full of stress and danger but change into basicly mobsters.
I can not imagine where did they get the idea to dip into the evidence locker? I hate to think what would happen if a car was stopped with a lot of drugs and cash. I heard a tale of a senators niece or daughter catching a ride with a friend who was carrying a ton of cocaine to Snowshoe. Suppose that the two cops one state and county took both their money and the drugs then sent then on their way. This was being investigated some four years ago or so. I bet if the guys who done it didn't share the other are going to be mad as heck.

Re: Mystery Cop

Preacher, please pass the name on! I might want to do an interview with her if she will permit!!!

Re: Mystery Cop

Is Alkire really not allowed to carry a gun in this county? If not, then does he carry his gun to and from his job in Ronceverte?

Re: Mystery Cop

Well, if the circumstances told to Preacher are true and this happened to a woman during transport, then that would mean that another person would have had to have been along during transport. I'm not saying that it isn't true, but correct me if I'm wrong, if it is a female then there has to be another female present during transport.

If you are talking about transporting from jail to another facility, then how could there not be a female present?

Re: Mystery Cop

Absolutely!! As a part of his plea bargain, he cannot carry a gun in Pocahontas County. That is why he went to Greenbrier instead of Marlinton.

Judge Rowe let that crooked lawyer, Dotson, come in here and make a deal!!!
