Re: Poets Corner~~FEEL FREE TO POST YOURS!!!

how could you?

did you thank it wouldn't hurt?
the way you made me feel.
the words that you had used on me,
almost made me kill.

i understand I'm not your son.
but at lest you had a choice.
you will never understand,
the life with you was not fun.

we had time of pure hate,
in all the time that we shared,
it all just seems so fake.
and you probably never cared.

so now I'm grown and gone,
and gone it'll be for good.
for you will never see me,
I'm gone gone for good.

Re: Poets Corner~~FEEL FREE TO POST YOURS!!!

To my son…

You were a dream from the beginning
A twinkle in my eye
How a miracle you have become
The reason I am I

From the day you were first thought of
Until the day you arrived
With this day upon me now
And how we have survived

We’ve been through thick and thin together
No one can more inspire
God sent you and made us one unique
A blessing to admire

For my life is blessed because of you
Not one man can deny
Let any try to stand between us
For he, I will defy

The pride I have before unknown
The decisions you now make
Show me the man you truly are
I know there’s no mistake

So grant you now my life before you
For it has and will be yours
Cause this is what you have given me
And all that life assures

Don’t ever think you’ve let me down
Or made me any discouraged
For it is you that has made me what I am today
And made me more encouraged

I see you today, a man yourself
And how you do stand tall
Knowing I was there to help
And how I do recall… that…

You were a dream from the beginning
A twinkle in my eye
How a miracle you have become
The reason I am I

I live among

I live among the Animals
Not a word they say

They listen and never make a sound
I can talk to them Each and every day.

Not one harsh word is every said
They just look and they listen

I leave my little sanitary
And walk among people

All I here is unkind words
Put downs and let downs

How sad the world
Has become

Hate, disrespect,
No love what so every

No understanding of life anymore
Living day by day

I will take life with the animals any day
Over people

In my little sanitary
That where I want be!

Re: Poets Corner~~FEEL FREE TO POST YOURS!!!

Put all your eggs in one basket
But don't let your head blow a gasket
For the love that you need
Will cut you and bleed
And you'll wind up a corpse in a casket

Re: Poets Corner~~FEEL FREE TO POST YOURS!!!

Time is a passing thing
That determines what is meant to be
Man's goal is embedded in time
And it is the shortness of this time
That defeats all of man's purpose

Before I was a mom

Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom..
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom.

Before I was a mom,
I didn't realize all of the options for my children to encounter.
I didn't realize drugs would be my son's biggest problem
I thought when he turned 18 he would go out into the world and accomplish great and wonderful things.
Before I was a mom, I didn't realize about court proceedings, fines and Hep C & B
Before I was a mom I thought I knew everything.

In Loving Memory.

this is a poem for our father. it's just something that we've copied and pasted but it gets the point across pretty well.

If I had one last day
to tell you what's inside
I'd tell you that I'm sorry
For all the times I've lied
I'd tell you that I need you
To hold my hand today
I'd tell you that I love you
I'd ask you, please, to stay
You'd look at me and smile
The way you always would
And say "I'd love to stay,
If only I really could"
Then you'd laugh the way you did
Whenever I was blue
You'd wipe my tears and whisper softely,
"Don't cry, I love you too"
If I had one last day
I'd love you from the start
I'd stop hiding how I feel
I'd say what's in my heart
If I had one last day,
I'd say my last good-bye
and that even though you are far away,
In my heart, you'll never die.

we really loved him. he was our father. but he was everything for us. I just wanted to take the time to remember him for who he really was. He was a great father;provider;husband. and i believe that he should only be remembered for the positive things.

WALKING DOWN A LONELY ROAD, WONDERING WHERE IT GOES. SO MANY JUNCTIONS ALONG THE WAY, IT'S SO HARD TO KEEP YOUR MIND STRAIGHT. SO MUCH HURT FOR SO LONG, IT MAKES YOU WONDER HOW YOU WILL EVER GET ALONG. SO MANY TWISTS AND TURNS ALONG THE WAY; LIKE SOMETHING WILD, HELD IN A SNARE BY THE LEG. FIGHT AND STRUGGLE, TRYING TO BREAK FREE, WONDERING IF THERE WILL EVER BE PEACE FOR ME....

QuoteReply To MOM on mother days

Mom just wanted to drop you a line
To say hi and see if every thing is fine.

I know I cant be there with you this year
But I know Dad, James and Linda will be near.

It seems like only yesterday that we held you close
And on this day we miss you the most.

So happy Mother Day
From our hearts you will never stray

God Bless you on this Special Day.

I FEEL THE PAIN WITHIN
THE PAIN OF SIN
THE DESIRE TO RITIRE TO JESUS AGAIN
ITS UNDISPUTED THAT WE ALLUDED LIFE GOD GAVE TO MEN
BUT IF WITH YOUR HEART WE START TO ASK THEN ATLAST HE WILL BEGIN TO WASH AWAY OUR SINS
NOW I KNOW ITS HARD BUT YOU MUST KNOW
THAT IF YOU SHOW THAT YOU CAN GO THE PATH HE LAID THE LIFE HE GAVE THEN HE WILL BEGIN TO WASH AWAY YOUR SIN
HE GAVE HIS SON THE ONE HE LOVED FOR US TO UNDERSTAND THE DEMAND AT HAND TO TURN FROM SIN TO LIVE RIGHT NOW FOR WHAT ONCE WENT WRONG THEN.GOD AMEN.

Re: Poets Corner~~FEEL FREE TO POST YOURS!!!

There's a trail of tears
Flowing from our homeland.

Washing out the years
Drowning out the red man.

There's a broken heart
Beating like a funeral drum.

A nation torn apart
so one can be born.

There's a memory
that the eagle holds high.

When we were free
as the wind in the sky.

There's a feeling inside
that stirs our madness.

In the fields of sadness.
To have a chosen life.

There are some empty teepees
Falling into dust.

Like an endangered species
we're losing way too much.

We are a world forgotten
Pushed aside and left alone.

But comes a time when we will rise again.
Oh Great One, hear our prayers and our song.

Re: Poets Corner~~FEEL FREE TO POST YOURS!!!

On top of Peters mountain
Where my ashes will lay.

Where the wind and rain
Will never wash them away.

Placed there by a dear Friend
That always has been there for me.

That will be blessed one day
For all to see.

Don’t weep or cry
For the way that I died

Be there for my love ones
Stand side by side

So when traveling the trail
Where the big tree bends

Come and set for awhile
And feel the gentle breeze.

As my sprit sores
Threw the trees.

Re: Poets Corner~~FEEL FREE TO POST YOURS!!!

I have found a couple of poems that I had written when I was at my worst during my addiction to pills, I thought that maybe someone would read them and they too would realize that it is not worth it.

No one knows the things I go through,
there are so many things that I would like to do,
the pain is there everyday and night
emotional and physical,
It gives me fright,
so many people can't understand,
I am lonely and frightened,
my life has become bland,
I wish everyday for excitement and fun,
I see others that are happy,
when they see me they run,
for all I only represent is sadness and pain,
I go through my life,
with a cloud full of rain,
I scream for help but there is none,
The only one that can help me out,
she is standing in the mirror,
but can't hear me shout.

Re: Poets Corner~~FEEL FREE TO POST YOURS!!!

This is the other poem that I found that I wrote. When I wrote this one I was so messed up at that point I was thinking the only way out was suicide. Please let your loved one read this and then maybe they will think twice about doing drugs. They do ruin lives.

The Price of a Pill

The way we treat each other,
afraid of missing out,
The rage, the anger,
I NEED MY FIX, I shout,
I need to feel better I need to get high,
If I don't find a pill,
I may lay down and die,
doing more and more everyday,
it's the euphoria,
that makes me stay,
now that fun has become my chore,
looking and searching,
always needing more,
looking and searching it's finally there,
my head may be spinning,
but the cabinets are bare,
quick get somewhere alone,
no friends or family just me and my pill,
the good feelings, the pill, it's all gone to soon,
I sit here in the dark,
my only light is the moon,
I gotta hurry, I am out the door quick,
I need another before I get sick,
the price of a pill,
it has become very steep,
nothing in this lifestyle is cheap,
the price is not just measured in dollar amounts,
this price it breaks you,
where it really counts,
the price it is charged to your family and friends,
it buries relationships,
there are no amends,
the price is so steep, it will make you lonely and ill,
no one can afford,
the price of a pill.

Re: Poets Corner~~FEEL FREE TO POST YOURS!!!

Hi folks,

This one was for the Cass Homecoming. A lot of folks wrote some poems which were very good. I wanted to join in as well.

Steam To The Hills

by David March Fleming
June 20, 2009

In 1999, we went on vacation
to Cass, West Virginia
in the middle of God's creation

We left and went back home
and resumed our normal life
but as a couple years passed by
it grew in me and in my wife

The truth of Pocahontas
the many peaceful days
wouldn't it be nice to be there
if we could find a way

And so a way we found
and moved on in for good
met families, saw places
and history in the wood

So many generations
of families fill this place
we are but a first
but in time and with grace

We long to be a patch
in a quilt of memories
stitched each day, one day at a time
in the future of new dreams

The past passes by, but long remembered
as best as we all can do
but to the tomorrows I do look
and hope to be with you

Steam to the hills, run up the track
of life's long memories
turn them out, one by one
through your children and their dreams.

Re: Poets Corner~~FEEL FREE TO POST YOURS!!!

Sorry I missed the one on 6/24 thanks for the contribution!

Thanks David that was nice~!

Re: Poets Corner~~FEEL FREE TO POST YOURS!!!

I stood in the rain
to wash it away
the tears streaming down
bled out weary pain
I wrung myself out
as best as I could
I took a deep breath
feeling weak as I stood.
I whispered to no one
with renewed sense of peace
that no matter what happens
my faith never will cease.

The Lord is my shepherd
resounds in my head
I look up to see grey skies
but feel sunshine instead.
