Re: Wadsley

Hi Jan,

Sorry for the late reply. Are you still looking?? If so names and dates would help us.

We do have some burials for Wadsley and there is also a map of the churchyard. Top of the Burial page in the headers.

Elaine in Ottawa Canada.

Re: Wadsley

Hi yes I’ll get back to you this week and thank you for replying .

Re: Wadsley

Hi I’m looking for Mabel McKenzie nee Stevens my great aunt c1897 to 1977. Also Robert Duke my great uncle who I know is buried in Wadsley graveyard but I can’t read the inscription online and have no idea how to find the grave. Also Florence Pickering Swindon nee Pickering Crowther is buried with her parents , Thomas Pickering Crowther died 29 May 1901 I think and Harriet Ann died 14 September 1944. Again there is a photo but I can’t read it. I can’t find the map of the churchyard sorry . All the best , Jan

Re: Wadsley

Morning Jan,

Unfortunately when I look at Wadsley Burials its very hit and miss what we have transcribed and we only go to 1910.

If you start at the Home Page of our site in the menu on the left hand side of the page you will see where it says Burial Records. Click on that. Next page is where you will find the Maps of the Cemeteries.

Top of the Page. (Header) (MAPS & PhOTO). Wadsley Churchyard map is about halfway down the page.

You will see where each block is dated.

Have you contacted the church or Sheffield Archives they maybe able to help.
Sheffield Family History Society may also have transcribed the cemetery.
Just suggestions.

Elaine.
