I have been looking at the free access today on Ancestry for the 1921 census. However I can't seem to find my Great Great Grandparents in Sheffield? They are John Gibson Fouldes (1861-1926) and Julia Fouldes (nee Oates) (1857-1932). I keep trying different spellings but they just don't appear! Can anyone help locate them in the 1921 census?
John Gibson Fouldes, head, 59 years 10 months old, married born Orton, Nottinghamshire.
Motor examiner for Corporation Tramways, workplace Queens Rd, Sheffield.
Julia Fouldes, wife, 63 years 9 months, born Sheffield. Home duties.
George Fouldes, son, 29 years 9 months, born Sheffield. Single, a baker working for Arthur Davy & Sons, Food Providers, of Paternoster Row, Sheffield.
Edith Pearson, daughter, 31 years 3 months, born Sheffield married, home duties. Might say “nitting”
Henry Denton Pearson, son in law, 32 years 8 months born Sheffield. Silversmith. General Mounter.
Working for Henry Stafford, silver goods manufacturers, Harwood St Sheffield.
I must be being super dumb as I am adding all those details you kindly shared but nothing comes up at all! I guess I am doing something wrong but not sure what! I shall persevere!
Oh wow! Thank you so much!! How the heck did they manage to make such a bizarre mis-transcription!? How is anyone supposed to find stuff like that?! 🤣 Imagine I had paid for Ancestry and couldn't find anything!
