In 1888 Albert Beatson married Harriet Bray b 1866
Harriet (nee Bray) already had a son Tom Bray White b 1884.
John Walter was born in 1890. James was b 1894 both sons of Albert.
Harriet had 2 other children who were not Albert's, Sarah Elizabeth b 1897 Castleford, George b 1902 Sheffield.
I have been trying to find out what happened to John Walter and have found a death in 1910 in Prescot Lancs. Ordered the death cert and found he died as an accident on railway line. In one newspaper report it stated he had a sister Annie Eliza (Betts) who lived in Wavertree, Liverpool. She married William Betts in 1898 in Liverpool. Name was Eliza Beatson on cert.
My query is how can Annie Eliza b 1876 (according to census info and marriage cert) be Harriet's daughter? Harriet was born in 1866.
I have also found another newspaper article 28th June 1926 Sheffield Daily Telegraph where it states William Betts, his wife and son and mother in law Mrs Richardson of Wavertree were in a motor bike accident. This is the correct family as Harriet re married Harry Richardson and lived in Wavertree.
Albert Beatson was a widower when he married Harriet Bray, and he was older than her.
He’d previously been married to Jane Dickinson - their marriage was in 1872 and is on this site.
Birth Q3 1873 Sheffield, Annie Eliza Beatson, MMN Dickinson.
