I note Edith Ibbotson's ( on this site) baptism date of 18 November 1877. Having just purchased Edith's death certificate it gives her death as 15 October 1877. May I ask for a check on the baptism date. Regards

The best information I can offer regarding.......

IBBOTSON, Edith (of Dun St, born ~).
Baptised November 18, 1877, by John Edwd Johnson at St Jude, Moorfields.
Parents name(s) are Elisabeth & William (File Cutter).

Terry has the original and the baptism seems to be correct. The one prior to Ediths baptism is dated Sep 11th and the one after November 18th.

So I can't change anything.

Is it possible that the Edith baptised on 18th November 1877 is a second child called Edith, named after the one that died in October and so hence the one that died born 1874 and no baptism found yet.

Can I ask......seeing that Edith Ibbotson was baptised (albeit error on date) would her parents have had to register the birth to allow them to have her baptised?
