We are currently transcribing the marriages for Sheffield Parish Church.
Our aim is to complete to the year 1900 and then go back prior to 1808 and fill in the gaps that we have in our database.
To do that we need all the help we can muster.
If any of you have some spare time and have knowledge of an Excel Spreed Sheet I would love to hear from you.
No experience is needed and other than basic computer skills we supply what you will need. No visits to the Archives are needed. Therefore where ever you are in the WORLD you can help.
I saw your message and if you still need helpers then I am happy to offer my services. I can probably do an hour or so a week if that's any good. I have used the Sheffield Indexers website a great deal and so it would be nice to give something back.
I know this request was some months back but if you still require more help I would be happy to help out. I am in Australia and without the Sheffield Indexers I wouldn't know as much about my family as I do it has been fantastic.
We are always looking for transcribers and all you need is time and the computer.
I will contact you with more info. Our current project is Sheffield Parish Church (Cathedral) We are currently trying to complete the years 1800 to 1808 and 1893 to 1908. This would mean we have completed 108 years of marriages at SPC.
We have a fantastic group of transcribers and checkers. Terry our projects photographer and Denise our Webmaster complete the team.
Thanks for contacting us and I will get back to you.
