Hi All, I am struggling to find a 1911 census for my great/grandaunt Alice, who was born in 1893, in Wortley. Her birth was registered in her mother`s surname, Helliwell, registered at Dungworth National School and is on the 1901 census with the same surname. On the 1939 register her name is given as Alice H Gosling, working in East Retford Notts. Gosling was the surname of her father William, but cannot find her using either surname for the 1911 census. She did not marry, so any ideas please?
Theres an Alice Gosling, B 1893 in Bradfield (so would be right for Wortley), as a vistor at 95 Derbyshire Lane Sheffield.
