I am trying to find out about a nursing/nurses home in the Sheffield area called Brown's or something similar that was in operation during the 1930-50. Does anyone have info/links I cannot find anything on the web.

Have you tried directories such as Kellys.
There are a number of these available at the Local Studies Library though obviously closed at present.
