John Arthur Roebuck died in 1884 aged 25 years but I am struggling to find his place of burial. Any help please appreciated. Thanks in advance

Grave Number 15, Section S1 of Burngreave Cemetery, Sheffield.

Barry, thank you that could be it. If this is the one I am after her married Clara Turner in 1883 and had a daughter Gertrude. If I can find the marriage cert on line and it shows his as Benjamin then thats him. I now know why in 1891 gertrude was with relatives.

correction Gertrude was born in 1883 I think John married Clara in 1880ish

Just to give you a nudge.......

His burial is in our Database for Burngreave. You will note that his first name was abbreviated to Jno. That is how it appears in the grave book.

Have you tried looking under our marriages?

Found the marriage on FMP and father was Benjamin but he must have added Arthur himslf because he was only born registered John.
