Ist there still any interest in the true story about the above event involving 439 Sqn. Hawker Typhoon pilots? Due to lack of WWII intelligence, entries in RAF Forms 540 and 541 and related Combat Report contain a signficant error. As a result, fictitious stories have allowed an American P-51 Mustang pilot to falsely claim this success story which rightfully belongs to 439 Sqn.
