Czech maestro on trial for girls sex abuse
PRAGUE, Czech Republic, Oct. 30 (UPI) --
The former director of the Czech children's choir, Bambini di Praga, went on trial Tuesday accused of sexually abusing choir girls. Bohumil Kulinsky, 48, who had been acquitted twice of sex abuses against a total of 49 girls, now is facing a new indictment based on individual counts before the district court in Hradec Kralove, 60 miles east of Prague, the Czech news agency CTK said. The Prague High Court recently threw out both verdicts, pronounced last year and this year, and ordered a retrial. Kulinsky is now charged with sexual abuse of two underage girls, both former members of the predominantly girls choir, Prague Radio said. He denied the accusations. If found guilty, Kulinsky would face a maximum of 12 years in jail.
