poor criticism

Hi Ron,

There are bad studies and good critics but also good studies and bad critics.
You can't make an argument without showing analysis or reasonable disagreements. Blanket statements like "not all factors were considered" are not valuable. You can always pretend there is an unknown hidden factor not included in the analysis.
The point is to find unexplained events based on the study model. This would in turn question the validity of the study model. But this criticism is lacking in Ken's message.

By the way, Wim left out data related to time usage and rating showing how higher rated players took more time to make their moves. Maybe he can comment about this. I believe you would be interested in seeing those numbers since you are one of ICCF's top players.

Best,

Gino
