Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: New Games Screen Layout

Hi Hannes

Let me go through your points one by one:

1.) The possibility to enter conditional moves

This is already technically possible at the ICCF server, but it depends upon if the tournament is initially set-up to allow conditionals to be entered. This is up to the organizer of the event, and the default policy of the ICCF.

2.) A game should be automatically scored a loss,
if one player exceeds the 40 days time limit.

Some are advocating for this. Not sure where I stand on this issue anymore.

3.) The possiblity to exchange messages with my
oponent when the game is finished

You can exchange a final message with your opponent. If you wanted to continue to exchange messages with the idea of doing a mutual post-mortem etc. of your game, the best thing to do is exchange email addresses during your game and do it outside the system after the game has ended.

4.) An exact calculation of the reflection time
- The ICCF version - rounding off to a full day
whenever a move is made, does not really make sense
, is unclear and a little bit confusing

This could be in the works for later upgrades.

5.) Show the correct remaining reflection time
of the player concerning the maximun 40 days for
a move rule. Sometimes it is very annoying to calculate when you are authorized to claim a win, if you think your opponent has exceeded the 40 days.
(You have to consider his holidays, and the ICCF-
extra day,....)

Not sure if this is quite necessary, since the server now informs all concerned parties when a 40-day violation has taken place.

6.) To configure the games list, that I
see only these games where it's my turn.

Interesting option that may be included eventually as an additional option.

By the way: Why is there no user control to play through (to browse) through the game ?
I mean back- and forward-arrows ...

I believe this is already possible. You can play through your on-going games if you're on the move or just waiting for a move. Unless I don't understand you.
