Re: Re: Re: Wonderful

You continue to twist and turn. I'll help you out this time by pointing out the FACTS to you as you seem unable to distinguish them. My opinions are based on facts. Yours appear to be based on bile.

I did not and do not deny Õim's past achievements in CC. It is highly unlikely that I will ever equal them. Opinion.

However he has no present achievements in CC. He hasn't started a game since 2001. FACT.

His results, in tournaments started since his fanastic WCh14 win, have not been spectacular. Opinion.

5/14 in the Von Massow, 7.5/11 in Section 3 of Olympiad13 prelims, 8/14 in the Keres85, and 4/8 in the ICCF50. FACT.

Possibly he lost motivation. Speculation.

He certainly lost rating points (from 2617 to 2581). FACT.

Whatever the reason, Õim's results have worsened, which is reflected in his rating drop. FACT.

Now we can debate the point on strength, which you are glad to do, because this is a matter of opinion.

However, ratings are based on results. Oddly enough, so are achievements. You don't win tournaments by being a strong player, you win them by winning games. FACT.

Presuming I played to my rating, or even my previous rating, It is to be expected that I would score as well, or a bit better than, Õim if he decided to play CC again and we were in the same tournament. This is the way the rating system works. Of course he might play more strongly, and if so his rating would increase. But that is always the case - I only got my rating increase by having the best performance in the CL. FACT.

Now do you deny any of my facts? If you disagree with my opinions can you show facts to support them? Or will you run away on this one too?
