Hi All,

June sees the return of the Mullingar and Athlone Aquathons. Athlone Tri Club will be hosting 2 aquathons again this year at Coosan Point on the 22nd and 29th of June.

The aquathons will consist of a 750m swim and 4.2km run.

We will be accepting entries for RELAY TEAMS for the Aquathons.

Also, we have added a second race consisting of a 200m swim followed by the standard 4.2km run. Hopefully this will encourage even more entrants.

In order for the aquathons to run smoothly, we require the assistance of our club members to help out on the day with the race set up and marshalling.

If you are available to help out on either of the days, can you please respond to this post or call me.

Details of the races will be forwarded on closer to the race dates.

Actually just following on from Davids comments, it would be great to have a childrens event at one of the evenings. Its the right age that they should be introduced to triathlon.

Hi all,

Thank you very much for all the responses, it’s great to see such huge support from our club members.

On the day if we find that we have too many marshals we will be able to let some take part in the race, so bring along your wetsuit just in case!

Unfortunately, children cannot take part in this race, this was not part of the race report to TI and its now at a late stage to change.
