FAO: Malin to Mizen Cyclists

Hi All,

This Saturdays group spin takes us over to the blooms! We will leave from Dominos Pizza (N6 Kilmartins) at 8am sharp and it should take around 5 hours.

This training spin is essential if everyone is serious about the M2M cycle. M2M Day 1 is a 137 mile spin and will have some hard climbs and long drags so this will be a taster! We will be keeping to the target speed and will re-group at the top of all climbs.

Bring 2 water bottles and food. If you are scared of a blooms spin, how will you face into 137miles, 130miles and 90mile spins in only 12 weeks time. On your bike!!

See you all Saturday

Dave

Dave .....what's a mile

Re: FAO: Malin to Mizen Cyclists

Have you a route Dave?

Re: FAO: Malin to Mizen Cyclists

Having done the Malin to Misery cycle last year I can tell you Dave is right about the first day. There are a lot of hills and its a tough day. This cycle is a great opportunity for anyone taking the challenge this year to get experience of hills! Just imagine you in Donegal for the day.

Re: FAO: Malin to Mizen Cyclists

Thanks to all who travelled today. I think we clocked about 120km so well done to all. (Still 50 Miles short of day 1 in M2M spin!!)

I'll organise a 100mile spin in May. This will be the last group effort. I'd advise people to sign up for tours (Sligo & Burren) and keep up the training spins with SSCC.

Thanks Again
Dave Seery
