Morning all. As you are aware, for insurance reasons, the ATC Committee insist that club members also take out TI membership. For the sake of clarity, I just wanted to post a message to ensure everyone is in no doubt as to what cover that provides.

TI Insurance is essentially third party cover - in other words, if for example a TI member has an accident while cycling, their insurance covers any injuries, loss, damage etc....caused to third parties involved in the accident - it DOES NOT cover TI members themselves.

As such, you may want to consider taking out seperate insurance to cover yourself in the event of injury, damage to your bike etc.....If sufficient numbers are interested in taking out such cover, I can make enquiries as regards a club rate - anyone who may want to obtain cover should post here so that I can gauge interest levels.
