Mindblowing! I have never seen a production like it and I have seen many! Five of us came, two have seen lots of Merchants starting in the 60s, one has seen plenty of Shakespeare but not starting till the 80s, she's still only 36! and two have seen very little Shakespeare and have never seen The Merchant before. All of us found it amazing. The power of it was frightening, we were all very tired by the end from being so tense! Goodness knows how the actors felt. I hope Propeller goes on for ever and that all those people who say Shakespeare is boring and old fashioned get to see one of their wonderful productions. I particularly like the fact tat all the actors are equal, no big egos just huge talent. The first Shakespeare I saw was directed by Edward Hall's dad who must be very proud!
