I am a frequent visitor to your theatre as I find all your productions are brilliant.
Last night I went to see Mari Wilson in Love Thing in a production of her own in a very small theatre in London. It was absolutely excellent and I thought fitted with some of your recent productions - Spend, Spend, Spend and Copacabana. It is the fictional story of a backing singer for Duran Duran and her personal story spoken and sung. The songs were excellent. It featured only Mari Wilson, her piano player, a few props and a screen which played supporting images. Mari has a brilliant voice and gave a very emotional performance. She really acted it and the audience were hanging on her every word.
I thoroughly recommend that you consider bringing it to the Watermill, it was touching, it was funny and emotional and finishes on a high - just the type of production you do so well and which your audiences appreciate.
