Can anyone please assist with 1911 details for George Ibbotson born c1851 with wife Ada Ibbotson. George died 9 April 1919 Middlewood Road Oughtibridge. Ada (mmn Taylor) born 1869 was George's second wife and was previously married to Albert Peach. Regards
They are together in Oughtibrige in 1911. George 60, Ada 41 and there are 3 stepchildren with surname Peace (not Peach). They have been married 4 yrs.

Hi David,
My findings are:
George Ibbotson's first marriage:
1875 Sept.qtr. Wortley to: Ann Taylor
His second marriage:
1907 March qtr. Wortley to: Ada Peace
All the children on the 1911 census are named as step-children with a surname of Peace The children's birth reg: on GRO show their mother's maiden name as Taylor. As you will see below the stepchildren are all named Peace
STEP-CHILDREN SHOWN IN 1911:
Albert (Mate or Kate) Peace age 19
Kelly (Nellie) Peace age 18
Florry Peace age 16
ADULTS
George Ibbotson age 60 Manager in Co-op Store
Ada Ibbotson age 41
married for 4 years.
COMMENT: It is a coincidence indeed if both his wives maiden names were Taylor but not impossible. But the children appear to be from the 1st 'Taylor' marriage.

Could anyone assist with possible death & age for James Vaughton, mason of Deepcar shown on the marriage record for George Ibbotson & Hannah Vaughton. He does not seem to be with his family on the 1841 so assuming he died prior 1841? Regards
