Trickett of Ecclesfield.

Would some kind person have a look at Ancestry for me please.

I have the following marriage that takes place at St Mary Ecclesfield. (My CD of marriages finally worked)

John Trickett minor bach a fitter of Mortomley Lane End father John Trickett a Lab.
to
Mary Robinson spin of Mortomley Lane End father John Robinson a Nailer.

The only baptism I can find is.....

8 Jun 1817 TRICKET John.... Benjamin/ Mary grinder Wadsley (bap Ecclesfield)

I have FMP and the material from S&DFH.

You can see the fathers names differ. Is there another John with father a John????

Elaine.

Note.
1861 census Potter Hill, High Green, Mortomley (Eccle Chapeltown)
John Trickett h.m. 42 Stove Grate Fitter born Ecclesfield as they all were.
Mary wife aged 45
Alfred son 19 Coal Miner

Albert son aged 16 Coal Miner
Elizabeth dau aged 13
Joseph son aged 12
Francis son aged 8
*Benjamin son aged 7
Harry g/son aged 6 mnths.

Re: Trickett of Ecclesfield.

When did they marry

Ps 2 jan 1820 johnathan cricket baptism of the address where he was at when married parents john and ann

Re: Trickett of Ecclesfield.

Stupid phone Jonathan Tricket baptism I found

Re: Trickett of Ecclesfield.

Or 10 aug 1817 John TRICKETT baptism of same address parents John and Ann

Not found Benjamin baptism in ecclesfield

Re: Trickett of Ecclesfield.

This is probably why you couldn't find Benjamin.

8 Jun 1817 TRICKET John....... Benjamin Mary grinder Wadsley (bap Ecclesfield)

What is your source for John Baptised 10th Aug 1817 please.

I have over the years wondered if they meant Wadsley Bridge rather than the district of Wadsley? Which would fit in better.

John Trickett & Mary Robinson were married at Ecclesfield in 1838.

My gut feeling is that this is the correct John & Ann (Hannah)Trickett for my John. Ties in with the Mortomley Lane End abode.

This is what happens with a 15 year brick wall......when...More material is now available. LOL.

Elaine.

Re: Trickett of Ecclesfield.

Source Ecclesfield baptisms think it was from a cd from years ago. No the Benjamin being baptised was your connection in 1854.

I'm sure I got the cds from sdfhs

Re: Trickett of Ecclesfield.

Elaine, I just mailed you a screenshot of the 1817 baptism with the Mortomley Lane End address
