I have just been on holiday and met an Australian looking for his ancestors. He gave me the name Tom Weatherhog born January 1865, born In Sheffield, died in Ipswich, Australia 1947. He married 23rd September 1891 to Elizabeth Ellen Burstall Milnes, born 1st October 1867 and died 5th November 1953 in Ipswich, Australia. Does anyone know anything about Tom Weatherhog?

There's a record for a Thomas Weatherhog, age 17, travelling from Plymouth on 1 Oct 1882 to Brisbane, where he arrived on 4 Dec 1882. Ship name Albany. It says the record was from the
Queensland Assisted Immigration set. Newspapers from that year indicate that the Queensland Government was providing passages to that colony for £1 per head at the time.
