Would people born Haggstones Oughtibridge born in the 1840's be under Ecclesfield or Wortley registration district. Regards

I seem to remember that Ecclesfield was the registration district until about 1840 and then it became Wortley so I would check both.

I have know located on GRO what I was looking for so can send for Certificates....Elizabeth Ibberson b 1838 mother Hobson which gives Ecclesfield and Ann Ibberson 1841 mother hobson which gives Wortley Union. So it seem you are correct Elaine. Regards
