In 1901 Septimus Frost senior was a blade maker at 71 Charles street with wife Elizabeth (nee Trigg married Christmas Day, 1884), son Septimus (junior born 13.4.85 at Bath street aged 15 a french polisher), son Francis 13, son Horace 7, and daughter Florence 9 months old. Ethel Maud Frost's birth was registered in Q2 1908 and she died at 19 Union Lane aged 13 months in May 1909, 6 months before Septimus' wife Elizabeth died. At the 1921 census Septimus snr was a cutter out for the Brunswick Drop Stamping Company of Eldon street, living at 25 Summerfield street with wife Sarah J (nee Bettinson married Q4 1910). In 1923 Septimus senior had the Cutlers Arms on Summerfield street (Gilmour & Co) when the licence was removed and compensation paid under the 1904 Licensing Act.
