Re: James and Florence Bottom Burials please

I know Elaine, I had just put James in the box instead of James *

Im just going to get a cone shaped hat and sit in the corner

Re: James and Florence Bottom Burials please

Ok here is why I could not find the burial.

Albert Bottom the son of James and Florence was born in Nov 1901. (from the baptism on here)The date of Albert's birth was from the 1939 reno wonder he was elusive.
the maiden name of Florence was Shelley (sic) from the GRO site

The marriage certificate says James Bottom married Florence Shelley.

The GRO for James birth in 1879 was registered as James.

The 1901 census he is James

So why would the burial register put William as a middle name when obviously he had not got one.

so when you are trying to just find a James Bottom and somehow he was given an extra name at his death.

s anyone able to check the original just in case this wonderful site has made a transcription error.

regards

John

Re: James and Florence Bottom Burials please

I think it is a transcriber's error.
The register, page 178, is here, number 100534

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-L9FH-ZV3R?i=497&cat=444385

No William in the name.
