I wondered if it's possible to check this record. This grave is in section EE1 rather than EE. There are no other burials recorded for this grave, and this is the only name on the gravestone.
Archer, William (Ironmongers Assistn, age 69).
Died at 52 Lord St; Buried on April 30, 1903 in Consecrated ground;
Grave Number 15643, Section EE of City Road Cemetery, Sheffield.
Another entry where the section should be EE1:
TAYLOR, Dororthy Marie (wife of Joseph S, age 29).
Died at Royal Hospital; Buried on October 25, 1933 in Consecrated ground;
Grave Number 15576, Section EE of City Road Cemetery, Sheffield.
Sent you an email with the attached page of burials for City Road.
As you can see its EE1 with a squiggle.
What ever that means
PS looking at it again could it be a Tilde.
The entry for Dorothy Marie Taylor reads exactly as we have it in our database.
Re checked Dororthy Marie Taylor and now see the offending 'r' have removed it. The section remains EE.
