So...... The 60 year old Sarah on the 1841 census with Mary, Luke & William is the GRANDMOTHER?I can only find one Sarah buried at St Nicholas.
Elaine.
All these names are floating around in my head as Malcolm Nunn and I transcribed St Nicholas. I don't know if you saw part of my message were I said that I can't guarantee that we got all the Baptisms & Marriages that were performed at St Nicholas as the register pages (on fiche) that I used were not in good condition. We might have to redo some of the pages again at a later date.
On the marriage records on this site, William Goslin is a bachelor when he marries Sarah Birch on 26th Dec 1808. Sarah is a spinster and they both sign with a mark.
Hi Cathie
One of the witnesses at the marriage is John Birch. So that could be a father or a brother (?). That might help in trying to track down earlier records.
Now I get the picture. That clears up the possibility of another Sarah.
