Hi Elaine
Many thanks for your email. It went into my junk folder . Luckily I read it because I pressed something by accident and it disappeared,
Best wishes
Catherine
It Looks as though the baptism date is wrong if you look at baptisms on the same date there is another boy baptised before he was born I found a baptism for somebody born 2 years later when I looked at same day baptisms I found another 2 baptisms that were born approximatley 2 years later
Thanks for confirmation there is a problem with that page of entries.
I have asked Terry to photograph that Register for me as I do not have the original that we used when transcribing St Vincent. That could take some time but I will check the information out.
With the fantastic effort of our photographer (Terry) I have the page in question.
Lawrence was indeed baptised on the 17th April not the 17th of February.
I have checked the other four baptisms for that date and only Lawrence was incorrect.
To make my life a little easier Nicholas could you point out the others that you say are incorrect.
HIBBERT, Frank (of 148 Eldon St, born 1926-10-11).
Baptised September 3, 1926, by George W Turner at St Jude, Eldon Street.
Parents name(s) are Emily & Arthur (Labourer).
Note: The dates are as per the register

This is the entry........ As you can see when we transcribed it we noticed the error but it was made in the Register so we are unable to change it.
Hi Elaine, thank you, yes I remember you checked for me a while ago. I just wonder how the error happened in the register it seems ridiculous that someone could not see the error when entering it in 1926.
I think thats an excellent idea - the vicar just sitting there catching up with his paper work.
It happens here sometimes when I'm doing my paperwork!!!
