Burials St George's Brook Hill 1833-1841

Hello everybody,
I have some relatives who are buried at St. George's, Brook Hill, Sheffield in 1838 and 1841, with possibly some earlier ones from 1833.
Are the burial registers for this parish available (searchable) anywhere?
It seems I can go to my local LDS Family History Centre and view there, but this is not convenient for me.
I also noted some have been indexed into Yorkshire Parish Registers (with no images).
Is there any other avenue for viewing these images or searching burials?
Thank you,
Chris
(Adelaide, Australia)

Hi Chris,

You may be aware of this info but I will just repeat it.

St Georges Burials were indexed for the National Burial Index by Sheffield Family History Society. It is sold for them by "GenFair". My index certainly has burials as early as 1830 at a quick glance.

I believe all of S&DFHS transcription have been uploaded to FindMyPast.

If you can give us one name we can check for you and advise you likewise.
The registers will all have been deposited with Sheffield Archives.

Regards,

Elaine in Ottawa Canada.

You need to go to a LDS Family History Centre, or an affiliate, to see the images. If if it's more convenient, check if your local library is an affiliate. It is in our town.

But a quick look for the death of a "John" died Sheffield 1838 turns up results for St Georges Brook Hill. So you should at least be able to see the transcriptions with a death/ burial date & age. Something to be going on with.
