Hi

I wondered if anyone could tell me if there any plans to transcribe school records from the Manor in Sheffield. I have family that I’m interested in looking up from the mid 1920’s to late 1930’s and they all lived on the Manor. I’ve had a quick look on the school records but nothing coming up. The schools I’m interested in are Pipworth, Prince Edwards and Standhouse. If not would I be able to access these records at Sheffield archives?

Try contacting the Archives to see if they have been deposited.

NOT all registers were deposited with them.

I will contact the archives and ask them. Just out of interest why wouldn’t a school deposit material with the archives, particularly if it’s decades old? Does that mean that the school would still have it?
