Interment

Sorry if I've spelt that incorrectly!
What does it mean please when someone's ashes are intered and how is it don
e?

Re: Interment

Hi, it simply means that the deceased's ashes are interred in the grave.
I had my father's ashes interred in his family grave at Fulwood when I found the grave details in his papers. I contacted the sextant responsible, arranged with the vicar, the grave was opened to place the container of ashes in the grave with his family as to his wishes.
