Schools in Upperthorpe 1880s

Wondered what schools were available to children living in the Upperthorpe area of Sheffield in the 1880s and 1890s?

Any help would be gratefully received.

Re: Schools in Upperthorpe 1880s

David, go to our school records over to the left and put *Upperthorpe* in the address field. The search gives 60 answers. If you skim them you will get an idea of several different schools in the area

Re: Schools in Upperthorpe 1880s

Hi David, not sure when it was built but I think you probably want Upperthorpe Infants and Junior School. I lived three doors from there when I was young It is no longer there as it was pulled down and flats and houses built on the land. To give you an idea of where it was Boyce St was up to the school wall Daniel Hill St on the Senior school side and Daniel Hill walk was another entrance.
Hope this is what you was looking for,if it was then I can help you.
