The mother of Mary Gill was called Ellen or Elizabeth Stones she was the wife of Joshua Gill they married 28 - 08 - 1776 in Sheffield Josua was baptized 23 - 01 - 1757 in Kildwick Yorkshire
and he died 1798 in Sheffield. I have searched the three main Ancestry cites but with no luck.

The marriage index from S&DFHS reads that the Brides name is Elizabeth Stones.
I couldn't turn it up on FMP. Our transcription end at 1754 and re start in 1808.

Baptism: 15th May, 1758 Handsworth. father John Stones
Baptism: 5th Jan. 1758 Ecclesfield father Thomas John Stones
and a Betty Stones baptized 11th Jan 1756 Upper Independent Chapel, Non-Conformist, Sheffield. Parents William & Sarah Stones.
There is also a death/burial for an Elizabeth Gill on 1st Sept/1807. age 49/50. At York Unitary Authority, N.Yks
