For those of you that have been experiencing certain LINK failures from out site e.g. History of the Cutlers Company and Master Cutlers hosted by a site sponsored by Eric Youle.
I am sorry to say that Eric passed away in May in Australia. He had been a good friend to Sheffield Indexers over the years, especially in the early years.
I read your message with great sadness. I had the pleasure of communicating with Eric in the early years of this site and our families had various things in common (Morton /Heeley area) but we never found a link.
Although he could not have been very much further from us he still had a keen interest in all things Sheffield and he had a wealth of knowledge and material for this area that he was happy to share.
