Just to fill you in on the query you sent me.
I checked out our database entry........
Crooks, Benjamin (of Oughtibridge, born ~).
Baptised August 15, 1773, by John Webster at St Nicholas, Bradfield.
Parents name(s) are ~ & Joseph (~).
I contacted Malcolm Nunn at Bradfield Archives as we had worked together on these registers. This is his reply.

I have checked out this record and it is definitely Crooks although we have to remember that whoever wrote may not have been sure whether it was Crooks or Crookes and we can only transcribe it as it appears on record – the father’s name is definitely Joseph on the record.
From this you can see I can not change the entry in our database. Sorry.

The only Benjamin Crookes with a father John, as per our Database is the following and the date is no where close to the other one.

Baptised November 11, 1750, by Christopher Butterfield at St Nicholas, Bradfield.
