Uncommemorated WW1 soldiers

Hi, I'm currently researching several Sheffield soldiers who may be uncommemorated casualties of WW1. I've found burials for most of them but there are two I'm having trouble with. Both men died locally. They are:

PRESTIDGE, Edmund Lewis
15 Bennett Street
Died 23/07/1921, age 40

SANDERSON, Fred
26 Stephen Hill
Died 08/01/1921, age 34

Any help appreciated!

Re: Uncommemorated WW1 soldiers

Hi

There is a Fred Sanderson listed on St John The Evangelist Church Ranmoor Roll of Honour

This is a possibility as he lived on Stephen Hill

Have you checked out this site http://sheffieldsoldierww1.co.uk/Soldier/Soldiers_AtoZ.html

Yes, I've tried the Sheffield soldier website. Only Sanderson is listed and it doesn't give much detail.

Re: Uncommemorated WW1 soldiers

Hi

I am only able to find the civil registration of death for Edmund but I have found the burial of Fred.

First name(s) Fred
Last name Sanderson
Age 34
Birth year 1887
Burial date 12 Jan 1921
Burial place Sheffield, Christ Church, Fulwood
County Yorkshire (West Riding)

Excellent, thanks for that Carol!

For Prestidge, the death was registered at Ecclesall Bierlow but I also have a Rotherham address for his father so perhaps burial there is also a possibility?
