General Registry Office

Can anyone advise why the birth years are missing between 1934-1984 when searching the GRO Search Index. They seem to be there for deaths.

The GRO ran out of money to digitise records. You can get the missing index details from Freebmd

According to their website more indexes will be added.

We are currently identifying a rolling programme to put more of our indexes online
and we will notify you via our website when any new indexes are added.
