Does anyone have any information about Canadian soldiers who resided in Sheffield area in 1916? Or can show me where I can find information about this?

The vast majority would be wounded soldiers who had been evacuated by train for treatment at the numerous hospitals (many ex schools) in Sheffield. This link gives an overview:
